”... a must for virtually every owner of a Sonos audio system” (iTopnews)
Sonobit is the most feature-packed remote widget for Sonos on the market. You don’t even have to unlock your iPhone/iPad to access advanced features like group control and ”Pause All”. Just swipe to the right on the Home screen or the Lock screen of your iPhone/iPad to access the widget.
Sonobit also runs on your Apple Watch! It gives you the full set of media buttons and shows the currently playing song and album art.
List of features:
- Full support for IKEA SYMFONISK speakers
- Either run Sonobit as a collapsed, minimalistic widget or an expanded, full-featured widget
- Control groups of speakers
- Pause all your Sonos speakers with just one tap
- Toggle repeat and shuffle
- Play/pause, skip tracks, adjust volume and mute
- View the currently playing song and album art
- Hold your finger on volume down to mute and on volume up to unmute in collapsed state
- Launch the official Sonos app by tapping the album art
- VoiceOver
- Available in English, German and Swedish
No setup is required! Sonobit automatically detects all your Sonos devices instantly. That also means that if you’re on a friend’s Wi-Fi, Sonobit will automatically reconfigure itself and connect to your friend’s Sonos system!
Don’t know how to add a widget like Sonobit? - It’s a piece of cake:
1. Swipe down from the top of the screen and then right.
2. Scroll down and tap Edit.
3. Tap the plus sign next to the Sonobit widget.
4. Pull it to the top of the list for easy access.

In rare cases, Sonobit is unable to automatically discover Sonos devices. This may be because UPnP is not enabled on your router. If Sonobit says "No Sonos system available", you can manually add your Sonos devices. Start the Settings app on your iPhone/iPad and tap Sonobit. Follow the instructions there for adding your devices and finish by launching the Sonobit iPhone/iPad app once for the settings to take effect.

Pros and cons of Sonobit - Remote for Sonos app for iPhone and iPad
Sonobit - Remote for Sonos app good for
Not to take away anything from this app. It does what its supposed to do and well.
That Sonos hasnt provided a lock-screen widget on its own app yet (iOS 8 has been out for over a year) borders on the criminal.
Great app, love the watch functionality. Would like be able to change tracks from the "glance" instead of just seeing the current playing song, but thats just a preference.
Wow, what a great idea for quick access to my Sonos system from the pull down menu on my iPhone and iPad. Kudos to the developer for a refreshingly awesome idea and great implementation.
I love this app and I do not understand why Sonos is so reluctant to build similar functionality into their own app. Being able to quickly pause music when leaving the house from the lock screen is so convenient. Sonobit is a third party application but it works flawlessly with my Sonos system. Money well spent, thanks!
5 stars! Awesome app to control SONOS system from widget on iPhone or from Apple Watch! Worth every penny! Congratulations to the developer!
Title of the track would look better in version 3.0 if the font was black, not white. Other than that, love it!
Some bad moments
Installed Sonobit app but it just stays on the instruction page ????? Do I need to do anything on that page as it's not reaction to anything on page ? Help please
The app works on my phone but doesnt connect my watch to Sonos. I bought this specifically to control Sonos from my watch but it doesnt work. If the developer reads this - please refund my money.
Thanks Richard for making this AWESOME app for us to use on our iWatch!! Totally ROCKS!! Other poster must be doing something wrong.. Dev is responsive and has an awesome product where Sonos is not supporting.. Thanks again Richard!! Cheers.. Works beautiful!
I downloaded this and quickly had it working - the only setup I had to do was adding the app to my phones Notification Center. The app on the watch started working right away... I didnt even have to sync it to my Sonos system! When I tap a button on the watch, my Sonos speakers respond almost instantly, whether its set to one room or many. There are other apps that say they do all this, but this is the only one that actually delivers. Great job!
Perfect. Does exactly what it says. $3 for a widget is a bit silly but I like it!
I got this app on Christmas Day after getting an Apple Watch. I was surprised that Sonos doesnt have a native app for the watch but was happy to see there were a few third party options out there. When I installed, it worked in the iPhone as a widget but the watch app was not working. I contacted the app support and they recommended simply reinstalling the app on the iPhone. This worked instantly! Since this is a minor kind of issue that can be easily resolved, I still think the app deserves all stars. It does what it promises to do and doesnt have stupid in-app purchases.
My only recommendations would be if they can add the ability to select playlists or something... Basically to start music on a device that doesnt have anything... Or even skim through sources to add music. ...Or group devices. This may simply be a limitation of the Sonos API but if it isnt I would recommend this as a future feature.
Great support team by the way. They contacted me on Christmas Day after only a few minutes!
